Lemhi County sheriff won't say whether anything was found during search for DeOrr Kunz
LEADORE, Idaho (CBS 2) — A weekend search was held at an eastern Idaho campground for missing boy DeOrr Kunz.
But what was found or wasn’t found remains unclear.
Lemi County Sheriff Steve Penner told CBS 2 News that his office wouldn’t be disclosing any details about the weekend search at the Timber Creek campground for the boy who vanished while his family camped in the summer of 2015.
Penner also said he’s unsure when his office would release additional information about the investigation.
Here’s what he did say:
Detectives are planning to search the campground in the future and detectives are waiting on environmental changes. He also said a representative from the Center for Missing and Exploited Children was on hand over the weekend to assist in the search.
Last week, a private investigator told CBS 2 News that cadaver dogs made a hard alert on an area within the campground.
The boy was 2 years old at the time of his disappearance.
