Alcohol suspected as factor in deadly, north Idaho crash
HAYDEN, Idaho (CBS 2) — One man is dead after being ejected from a car in a two vehicle crash on US 95 in Hayden, Saturday evening.
According to Idaho State Police, a truck driving eastbound on Boekel Road failed to stop at a stop sign, at about 8:41 p.m. Saturday.
The truck hit a van travelling northbound on US 95.
The impact centered on the van's driver's side and Ryan Allen, 38, of Cocolalla, Idaho was ejected from the Vehicle.
Allen was pronounced dead at the scene.
All the other occupants of the van were taken to Kootenai Health.
ISP believes alcohol is a factor in this crash and continue to investigate.
